Last week, I finished up the keychain for my friend's birthday. It's just a clear piece of acrylic that's engraved with a code which will play a song when you scan it. The one on the right has the engraving on the front from where you view the Spotify code. I thought that it could be clearer, so I mirrored the inskscape file so that when I engraved it, the engraving would be on the back when looking at the code. I think it worked, as you can see the code slightly better on the keychain on the left.

I also cut out the pieces for my key holder last week, and finished up sanding all of the parts on Monday this week. The final product of the key holder is ideally going to look like an orange slice. I took the middle pieces home so that I can paint them to resemble an orange slice.

On Tuesday I started planning out how I was going to add in all of the holes for the letter blocks in the new word clock design. I asked Mr. L and Mr. Christy if they had Grace's original CAD design for the frame, but they didn't. However, they had her design or the individual letter blocks, so I used that to come up with parameters to use to add the holes into the new CAD design.

On Wednesday, I started by using the parameters I made to add the holes into the new CAD design. Now, we need to figure out what we're doing with the back and the design for the component that will hold the power supply and the PCB that Kim is designing. Kim and I also talked to Mr. L about what we should do about mounting the power supply and creating something in the back so that we can mount the clock to the wall. He told us we could make a piece that goes across the back that we can maybe put holes in, to make it easier to mount.

I finished up Wednesday by starting to create the idea Mr. L drew for us in CAD. I didn't get to start the component for the power supply but I got the back plate on and crated L brackets to attach the plate to the sides of the word clock.
