This week, Kim, Jaspreet, and I were able to get more done for the word clock. First, Kim and I got the metal brackets back from metal fab. We also started stripping the wires and crimping the ring terminals onto them so we could attach the LEDs to the metal power bars that we put in a little while ago.

After we attached all of the wires, I went ahead and screwed in the metal brackets to each corner of the word clock for added support. Mr. L said that the L-brackets that I 3D printed were too weak and flimsy and I should redesign them and add side walls and maybe a few more screws holes for added support. After I do that, hopefully we'll finally be able to hang it up.

After we got all of the wires situated and connected to the power bars, we tried plugging in the word clock to test how well the power distributes throughout the board. At first, we had a problem with the board and it wasn't turning on. I was absent the next day, but Kim and Jaspreet found out what was wrong and were able to get it working again. When I came back Thursday, I took on the task of designing something for electrical. They're giving their teacher, Mr. Cormio, a cornhole as a kind of retirement gift, and wanted our shop to design something to put on it. I designed most of it in Inkscape. There are just a few more details I want to add to it before I check in with Mr. L and we start engraving it with the lasercutter.
