This week I got a lot done for my layered art box project. When I tried to assemble the test box in cardboard at the beginning of this week, I realized that I had messed up the measurements of the paper layers. When I originally made them in inkscape, I made them the same dimensions as the box. I forgot to subtract the width of the material, so the pieces of paper were too large to fit inside the box. I spent Monday fixing the design of the layers in inkscape. I didn't get the chance to cut them on Monday, so I was focusing on getting the rest of the test box ready in the meantime.
On Tuesday, I cut out just one of the layers to make sure I did the measurements right this time. I ended up having to fix the measurements a third time because I had messed up the measurements again. I finished fixing the layers on Tuesday and got them all cut out. The day ended before I could finish assembling the test box with the new paper layers and the LED strip. On Tuesday, I also cut out a back piece for the test box, which was different from the actual back of the design. I put a hole in the back so that I could see what the layers looked like with the LEDs because I still needed the breadboard to power the LEDs.

On Wednesday, I fully assembled the test box with all the layers and the LEDs. I had to adjust the code a little bit because when I made the code, I wasn't sure how many LEDs I was actually going to need. I jest increased the amount of LEDs in the code and added two more for loops for the last four blue and green LEDs following the yellow LEDs.

On Thursday, I cut out and sanded the parts of the box in wood. I'm going to hold off on assembling the final product because I'm waiting for my panel mount to be delivered. If it doesn't come by Friday , I'll just take the project home and finish it there.
