This week, I continued working on my Mother's Day gift and another project with Kim and Jaspreet. I was absent on Monday, so on Tuesday I fixed my LEDMount, since last week I realized the measurements were a little messed up, and the LED strip didn't fit. Instead of re-printing the entire thing, I just removed the little piece that was connecting the bottom and the middle shelf. I also started this quick project that Mr. Christy talked to Kim, Jaspreet, and I about. He wanted us to decorate and label this map with the state names and a few city names along this blue path he put on the map stretching from Medford, MA to Syracuse, NY.

We each took a state and about 4 cities each to create labels for. I designed the sign for Vermont. We took inspiration from the welcome signs from each state.

On Wednesday, I was designing labels for some of the cities. We split up the cities between the three of us. I designed labels for four of the cities: Syracuse, Utica, Amsterdam, and Schenectady. We decided to add little icons/drawings that would be associated with that particular city.

I also lasercut the acrylic piece for the lightbox and tested what it looked like in the LEDMount. I ordered the panel mount for the lightbox over the weekend but I forgot to bring it to school on Tuesday, so I tested it with the LED strip and pro micro on Wednesday.

I had been trying to 3D print my box for a few days and I was finally able to it on Thursday. However, I was only able to print the base of the box, so hopefully I can print it on Friday and I'll just decorate it at home. Worse comes to worse, it'll be a few days late.
