5/12 - 5/16

This week, I started a new project since I finished the lightbox for my mom and gave it to her on Mother's Day. This new project is a small box with four drawers in it to store small items. I was planning on using it to store things like cotton pads, q-tips, hair ties, etc. I might change my mind later on, but for now that's what I'm planning to use it for.

On Monday, I spent my time just looking for new project ideas. I saw something similar to what I decided to make and started sketching out my idea in my notebook. I wasn't here on Tuesday, so I didn't get anything done that day.

On Wednesday, I started designing the box in CAD. I had gotten two of the drawers done as well, before I realized that the measurements were off. The day was basically over, so I decided to just get rid of the drawers I had made and just restart them on Thursday.

On Thursday, I finished designing the drawer organizer in CAD. I also got some of the inskscape files ready so that I can lasercut the parts when I come back next week. I thought that the box was going to look a little plain and boring, so I decided to add some engravings onto the sides. It most likely will be done by the end of next week.
