Last week, I was able to finish my key holder and glue everything together.

This week, I had to focus on getting the design for the word clock finished. I also had to look into options for wood panels to order for the frame of it.

On Monday, I wasn't here so I wasn't able to get anything done. On Tuesday, I was finishing up the design of the work clock in CAD. I got to the point where I was creating the files of the parts in inkscape to be able to test cut the frame. I almost finished making all of the files when the school day ended. I had to cut the files in half in order to be tested in cardboard with the lasercutter. The design we had to make is too big to fit in the lasercutter, which is why we're using the CNC Mill in the first place.

When I came in on Wednesday, I was continuing with the inkscape files when I realized I actually forgot to add sniglets to the design of the frame. The CNC Mill can't do sharp corners, so these are needed to round out the interior angles. This was an annoying set back because it is a pretty important part in cutting the parts with the CNC Mill. I watched Mr. L's guide and thought about where I would put the sniglets, but I wasn't able to add them to the design because I ran out of time.

On Thursday, I went to Mr. L because I had already watched his guide on sniglets and I still did not understand how to use them or where to put them. He actually told me that since it's just the interior angle that had to be rounded, I would probably be able to just fillet the corners on the inside of the frame. I had to insert the design of the letter blocks into the design and line it up with the holes on the frame so that I could add a fillet according to the curve of the letter block.
