On Monday, continued measuring the power supply so I could make the component for it in my CAD design for the word clock. I didn't have a ton of time because we had gym on Monday, I had a meeting with my counselor, and I had to get dismissed.

On Tuesday I started designing the component in CAD. It's an L-bracket that holds the power supply and screws into the top piece of the board. I got the part for the Power Supply done on Tuesday. It took me a while because I had originally put it on one of the side pieces, but it didn't work because of the way the wires are on the power supply. So, I moved it so that it attaches to the top piece.

I talked to Kim, and we decided that we want the piece that holds the PCB to be attached to the piece that holds the Power Supply, so that it would be easier to keep the wires close together.

I also started designing a new project, because Kim had to change the PCB. While I was waiting, I started looking for small, quick projects I could make and I saw cup coasters. I thought about how my dog kind of destroyed our old coasters and chewed them up, so we had to throw them out. I thought it was a perfect project to do while I waited. I sketched a few out in my notebook and designed it in Fusion.

On Thursday, I cut out a test version of the Power Supply/PCB mount that I've been designing in Fusion. I talked to Mr. L to make sure it would work and then realized that I should have measured the 3D printer's plate so that I knew how big to make it. We found out that my design is too big and doesn't fit in the 3D printer, so I measured the plate and started redesigning the component in Fusion. I didn't finish redesigning it when the day ended on Thursday, so I'll continue fixing it on Friday.
