This week, I didn't get everything done that I originally wanted to. I had very limited time in shop this week, because I wasn't in school on Tuesday or Wednesday. On Monday, I was checking to see if my power supply mount worked correctly and attached to the power supply and PCB correctly. The holes are a little off, so I'm going to have to go back into CAD, fix it, and reprint it.

On Tuesday, I was one of ten students from Medford High chosen to attend A STEM Week at Suffolk Construction Headquarters in Boston. It was a great opportunity where I got to meet some Executives and Directors at Suffolk Construction. If you don't know what Suffolk is, they're one of the biggest construction contracting companies in New England, with a revenue of about $6 billion. They chose only three schools to invite; Brockton High School, Madison Park High School, and Medford High School. They told us about some of the projects they've done and told us their stories and how they got to where they are today. It was very informative and exciting to learn about them and the company. We were also able to break off into smaller groups where we got to have more in-depth conversations with a couple of their employees. It was a nice experience because it felt like they actually cared and wanted to help us instead of just talking at us and lecturing us the whole time. They all seemed very genuine and involved.
On Wednesday I wasn't in school because it was C3 Day, so I went to tour UMass Boston, which is one of the colleges on my list.
On Thursday, I continued working on the coasters I've been making. I got one more coaster designed in Inkscape and I have one more left to design before I cut them out in cardboard and wood.
