This week was a little short since we didn't have school on Monday because of Columbus/Indigenous Peoples' Day. This week I was focused on finishing up the power supply/PCB mount for the word clock. On Tuesday, I was able to finish redesigning the mount. The one I designed last week was too large to be 3D printed. It didn't fit on the build plate, so I had measured one of the build plates to help me with the measurements for the new design. Mr. L also told me that the new design should use less filament, so I also cut down a part in the middle so that it was using less filament.

On Wednesday, I cut out the parts for the new design in cardboard. I screwed the parts into the power supply so that I could see what it would look like with the power supply and PCB before I 3D printed it.

On Thursday, I checked in with Mr. L to make sure that the new design was good. I went ahead and printed it out after that. I had just started 3D printing it when I remembered that I forgot to fillet and chamfer the design in CAD before printing it. I went back to fix it and restarted the print. It wasn't done printing when we left on Thursday, so I'll see what it looks like on Friday and test it with the power supply and PCB.

While I was waiting for it to print, I started working on the designs for the coasters I started working on last week. I wanted each coaster to be engraved with something different. There will be one coaster for each of the people in my house with their name and a pattern engraved on it. There will be one 'guest' one with my dog's name on it.
