This week, I mainly worked on my lightbox. On Monday, after I finished the updated design, I made the Inkscape files for my box and laser cut it in cardboard. I ended up having to cut out the right side about three times total because I miscalculated the measurements for the panel mount and had o fix it. The first thing I got wrong was the hole for the power cable. I made it the size of the piece on the panel mount instead of the size of the cable, so it was too small. The second time, I had to recut it because the hole was a little off-centered, so I had to go back into CAD and fix that too.

On Tuesday, I sorted some nuts and screws with my friend Kim. I didn't get too much done Tuesday because we had gym last period.

On Wednesday, I assembled my box in cardboard and made sure that the panel mount fit well inside the box.
On Thursday, I cut out the pieces in wood, including the leg dividers for the box. The laser cutter has been having trouble lately, but thankfully Mr. L was able to fix it. Tt works a lot better and cuts more smoothly now. After I cut out my box in wood, Mr. L gave us bigger boxes for our things, so I spent the rest of the day taking the junk out of my old box and organizing my stuff in the new, larger box.
