This week, I was jumping between the word clock project with Kim and my LED box. The panel mount for my box came in last week, so I took it out and started trying to figure out where I would be able to place it in my box.

It turns out that the panel mount is too big to fit inside my original design for the box, so I took it apart and started redesigning it in CAD. I decided to just make the box a little bit wider, and put the panel mount on he side of the box instead of the back, so that it doesn't take up as much space. The red circle is where I'm planning on putting the panel mount.
Other than this, I worked on the word clock project with Kim. I helped her remove each letter block that we had already placed, and tape down the LED's onto the board. We decided to tape the LED's down because they would just move around in the blocks and we didn't want it to affect how the letters looked when the LED's were on. I also helped her cut out a bunch of the 1/4" wood pieces and screw in more letter blocks. With the wood pieces that I cut out, we were able to make about 20 more letter blocks and attach them onto the board. Now, all we have to do is cut out the rest of the 1/4" wood pieces and the white acrylic for the blank boxes, and we'll be ready to test the code on the board.
