Last week, I was working on a birthday gift for my mom. I was able to get all of the pieces cut out and I glued the letters together on Friday. I took it home with me Friday after school so that I could add the finishing touches. I printed out some pictures to glue onto the letter and finished decorating the card as well as the new keychain.

This week, I started by sending a link for the wood we found for the word clock to Mr. Christy so that he could order it for us. After I sent that to Mr. Christy, I started talking to Mr. L some more, asking him about screws I could use for connecting the frame of the word clock and the other pieces. He recommended I use wood screws. I didn't know much about them or how they worked, so I spent the last period on Monday researching.

On Tuesday, I was still trying to find wood screws for the word clock. I watched some videos to try and understand them more and what the difference between wood screws and regular screws was. After watching a few videos, I looked on the website "McMaster - Carr" for some wood screws. After I found some, I showed Mr. L to make sure that they would work and they were the right size and material. I sent them to Mr. Christy so that he could order them.

On Wednesday, I remembered that I also needed to order screws and nuts for the LEDs as well, so I figured out what size I needed from the CAD design and looked on McMaster - Carr again and sent them to Mr. Christy to be ordered. After finding all of the components for the word clock and asking Mr. Christy to order them, I tarted looking for new project ideas for after the word clock gets finished. I like to do my own nails and I have a ton of unorganized supplies, so I started looking online for some inspiration for organizers that I could make for my things.

On Thursday, Kim, Jaspreet and I originally wanted to try and cut out the parts for the word clock with the CNC Mill, as our wood was delivered at the end of the day on Wednesday. I talked to Mr. L, and he suggested that we wait until after I 3D print all of the brackets to cut it out. So, I'll be focused on getting all of the brackets cut out and maybe I can start on my organizers while I wait for my turn to use the 3D printer.
